GEOTECHNOLOGIES (GOOGLE EARTH) IN MATHEMATICS EDUCATION
Geotechnology, Google Earth, Mathematics Teaching
The use of Google Earth as a teaching tool has been widely explored in various disciplines, including mathematics. Through Google Earth, students can relate mathematical concepts to real-world situations, allowing for more concrete and contextualized learning. In addition, the use of this tool can make the learning process more meaningful and motivating for students. However, it is important that teachers are prepared to use Google Earth appropriately, planning activities aligned with the pedagogical objectives of the discipline and allowing students to explore the potential of the tool in a critical and reflective way. In this sense, this dissertation aims to indicate the use of Google Earth in mathematics classes, discussing its potential and presenting strategies.
