Learning MATHEMATICS THROUGH ROMANCE
ALVA HARE REDDISH WOLF: THIS STORY IS FALSE -
AN INTERDISCIPLINARY PROPOSAL WITH PORTUGUESE LANGUAGE
Logarithm, Project-Based Learning (BPA), interdisciplinary proposal.
This work emphasizes the contributions of the book White rabbit red wolf: this story is life, by Tom Pollock, in the approach to mathematical content, through an interdisciplinary project between Mathematics and Portuguese Language, carried out with students from the 3rd year of High School at Candide Portinari State School of Tapurah-MT. The proposal is to work on the revision and learning of logarithms from activities and problem solving inspired by the mathematical novel, with a didactic sequence based on Project Based Learning (PBL), demystifying the idea of the Mathematics discipline as being surrounded by calculations and formulas, with nothing else to offer the student. The strategies used to write this work were qualitative research with case study and bibliographical research. We hope that this work will contribute to Mathematics classes in the search for new materials and strategies that instigate curiosity, an exploratory spirit and a taste for reading in our students.
