RESUMO:

This Master's thesis in Literature, within the Literary Studies line, addresses Black women's literature through an analysis of the work *Só por hoje vou deixar meu cabelo em paz* (2014), by Cristiane Sobral. The research hypothesizes that the work expresses, in a lyrical and insurgent way, Afro hair as a central sign of resistance and affirmation of Black subjectivity in the face of structural racism. By addressing hair aesthetics as a tool to confront historical stigmatization and the "epidermization of inferiority," the work seeks to deconstruct phenomena that affect the self-esteem and sense of belonging of Black students, promoting a narrative of sovereignty and re-existence that can also be used in the school environment. The main objective is to analyze some poems with the purpose of developing Critical Racial Literacy and strengthening anti-racist and decolonial actions. To this end, the study is based on the intersectionality between race, gender, and aesthetics, understanding Black women's writing as a strategy for identity decolonization. This study focuses on the literary analysis of selected poems, highlighting the relevance of the work for the re-signification of the Black body and for the implementation of Law No. 10.639/03. The guiding question is: how does Cristiane Sobral's work promote critical racial literacy and offer narratives of re-existence that challenge Eurocentric standards? Qualitative in nature and with an inductive approach, the study uses bibliographic review and literary analysis. The theoretical foundation is anchored in dialogues with authors such as Akotirene (2019), Almeida (2015), Candido (2004), Crenshaw (2002), Cuti (2010), Evaristo (2007), Gomes (2017), Gonzalez (1984), hooks (2019), Kilomba (2019), Munanga (2012), Paz (1984), and Rojo (2009), among others. The analysis suggests that Sobral's work constitutes a literary manifesto that contributes to the decolonization of aesthetics and the construction of new subjectivities, reaffirming the voice and experience of Black people in environments that aim to be emancipatory.
