RESUMO:

This Academic Master's in Literature research, in the line of Literary Studies, deals with black women's literature with an in-depth analysis of the work Só por Hoje vou vou de meu hair em pacific (2014), by Cristiane Sobral. The research is based on the hypothesis that the work expresses, in a lyrical and insurgent way, Afro hair as a central sign of resistance and affirmation of black subjectivity in the face of structural racism. By approaching hair aesthetics as a tool to combat historical stigmatization and the “epidermization of inferiority”, the work seeks to deconstruct phenomena that affect the self-esteem and belonging of black students, promoting a narrative of sovereignty and re-existence in the school space. The main objective is to analyze the pedagogical potential of Sobral's work to promote Critical Racial Literacy among teenagers in Elementary School II. To this end, the study is based on the intersectionality between race, gender and aesthetics, understanding black female writing as a strategy for identity decolonization. The study is dedicated to the literary analysis of selected poems, valuing the relevance of the work for the redefinition of the black body and for the implementation of Law nº 10.639/03. The guiding question is: how does Cristiane Sobral's work promote critical racial literacy and offer narratives of re-existence that challenge Eurocentric standards in the school space? Qualitative in nature and inductive approach, the study uses bibliographic review and literary analysis, culminating in the elaboration of a proposal for a didactic sequence based on the literary literacy method. The theoretical foundation is anchored in dialogues with authors such as Akotirene (2019), Almeida (2015), Candido (2004), Cosson (2006), Crenshaw (2002), Cuti (2010), Evaristo (2007), Gomes (2017), Gonzalez (1984), hooks (2019), Kilomba (2019), Munanga (2012), Paz (1984) and Rojo (2009), among others. The analysis points out that Sobral's work constitutes a literary manifesto that contributes to the decolonization of the curriculum and the construction of new subjectivities, reaffirming the black voice and aesthetics in a school environment that aims to be emancipatory.
