The (Ex)tensions of the Self in the Contemporary (Uni)verse: The Eroticism of and in Language in Marilza Ribeiro's The Naked BodyLiterary analysis. Mato Grosso literature. Eroticism. Metapoetry. Contemporary poetry.
This research analyzes Marilza Ribeiro's work CORPO DESNUDO (1981). It highlights the sensual nature of language, the eroticism in and of language as a space for reflection on the self, its space, and contemporary poetic creation. In this way, the examination probes the flirtation between language and poet, which excites the senses of the linguistic being, who undergoes a process of re-signification in the poetic text and (re)creates his (uni)verse through his sensations and feelings, which simultaneously reverberate about the creation itself. To develop this intent, four poems were chosen, whose productions will be scrutinized at the phonetic, phonological, morphosyntactic, and stylistic levels present in the selected poems. This study aims to uncover the unique features of the chosen aesthetic interval, based on the comparison of oppositions, similarities, and common elements in the poems selected for analysis. A brief historiography of Mato Grosso literature will also be developed, considering the socio-historical context of this literature and a concise approach to the poet's life and work. External elements will aid in the understanding of the verses and in the meticulous work of analysis and interpretation of such writings. Among the main critical and theoretical references used are: Alfredo Bosi (2002) (2010) (2017), Antonio Candido (1993) (1995) (2000), Octávio Paz (1982) (1994) Maurice Blanchot (1987), Georges Bataille (1987), and Célia Maria Domingues da Rocha.
