RESUMO:

This dissertation investigates the dramaturgies of Mulheres da Terra and Fica, Pedro!!, aiming to understand how intersemiotic transposition occurs in these creative processes. Based on these two productions by Cena Onze Cia de Teatro from Cuiabá, the study analyzes how different sources—a contemporary biographical fact, the punishment of Pedro Casaldáliga, and a well-established reportage book, Dez mulheres, muitas vidas—become starting points for collective creation and the construction of dramaturgies that shape the scenes. To this end, it examines how these distinct sources—a contemporary biographical fact (the punishment of Pedro Casaldáliga) and a consolidated literary artifact (the reportage book Dez mulheres, muitas vidas)—function as triggers for the construction of textual dramaturgies and their respective scenic materializations. The theoretical framework is based on the concepts of interarts and intermediality (SILVA; CLÜVER), epic theatre (BRECHT), memory theories (RICOEUR), and aesthetic experience (DEWEY). The research, of qualitative nature, conducts a critical analysis of the dramatic texts and the performances, articulating these with aesthetic-political contributions. The results show that literature, in this context, acts as a provoking agent of an expanded dramaturgy that integrates text, body, space, and sound. The comparative analysis reveals two distinct creative pathways: one that starts from the urgency of the fact to the stage and then to the play’s text, as in Fica, Pedro!!; and another that moves from the literary text to scenic investigation and to a new dramatic text, as in Mulheres da Terra. In both cases, the collaborative process allows the creation of polyphonic works that evoke memory and transform social struggles into scenic and critical power. The scenic productions demonstrate the versatility of theatrical creation, where literature, as social representation, operates as the core generator of a hybrid scenic language committed to historical reality, reinforcing the role of theatre as an instrument of reflection and political resistance.
