THE HOUSE WHERE POETS LIVE: A STUDY OF THE POETRY OF LUCINDA PERSONA AND CONCEIÇÃO LIMA
Contemporary poetry. Lucinda Persona. Conceição Lima. Poetics of the house. Poem house.
This thesis studies the poems of contemporary Portuguese-language writers Lucinda Persona, Brazilian literature produced in Mato Grosso and Conceição Lima, and African literature from São Tomé and Príncipe. The research is mobilized due to the perception of a latent set of images that is generated from the figure of the house, an insistent topic in the verses of both poets. A finding that drives us to understand the persistent purpose in erecting and sublimating the image of the house in the poetic universe of the writers, as a source of values, experiences, reflections and meanings in their poetry. Therefore, we understand it is necessary to highlight the different perspectives that this element systematizes as the poetic in the poets' literary writing. We selected as corpus the books published until the beginning of the research by the poets, to be cited by Lucinda Persona – Por Imenso Gosto (2018), Ser Cotidiano (1998), Sopa Escaldante (2001), Leito de Acaso (2004), Tempo Comum (2009 ), Between One Night and Another (2014), The Step of the Instant (2019); Conceição Lima with the works O Útero da Casa (2004), A Dolorosa Raiz do Micondó (2012), O País de Akendenguê (2011). In this comparative study in which the house appears as a locus where other motivations that make up the writers' poetry are articulated, each with their own written diction, we investigate the set of poems, under the hypothesis that the fundamental house to be erected is writing itself. . As theoretical support for the analysis, we resort to the contributions of Gaston Bachelard (1978), Heidegger (2012), Merleau-Ponty (1999), Ricoeur (2000), Glissant (2021), Hall (2006), Brandão (2002) , Bosi (1977), Melo e Castro (1973), Collot (2013), Mata (2006), among other critics who collaborated in deepening the discussions.
