Agriculture 4.0; Agricultural technology; Professional training; Sustainability.
Agriculture 4.0 represents a new phase of agricultural modernization, marked by the integration of digital technologies such as artificial intelligence, sensors, automation, big data, and real-time connectivity. These innovations have the potential to increase productivity, reduce costs, optimize the use of natural resources, and promote greater sustainability in the field. However, their effective implementation faces challenges, especially those related to workforce qualification. This research aims to identify the limitations encountered in the use of Agriculture 4.0 technologies on farms located in the municipality of Campo Novo do Parecis, in the state of Mato Grosso—one of the largest agricultural hubs in Brazil. The study adopts a mixed qualitative and quantitative approach, using semi-structured interviews with farm managers and questionnaires applied to agricultural machinery operators for data collection. The expected outcomes include identifying the level of technological adoption, the main challenges faced in operating modern equipment, and proposing strategies for professional training. The research contributes to the debate on the impact of technological innovation in the agricultural sector, with a focus on human capacity building and sustainable production.
