EVALUATION OF THE PUBLIC POLICY FOR ACCESS TO LAND WITH THE NATIONAL LAND CREDIT PROGRAM IN THE STATE OF MATO GROSSO

The National Land Credit Program (PNCF) provided access to land for 7,955 families in the state of Mato Grosso until 2013 and covered 54 municipalities in the state. With collective and individual financing contracts in the form of Land Bank, Consolidation of Family Farming and Combating Rural Poverty. In the Citizenship Territory of Baixada Cuiabana, 35.7% and 31.8% of Land Credit and Banco da Terra contracts are concentrated, respectively. The potential of urban consumers for family farming products stands out for the Pontal do Araguaia Territory, with an average of 764 inhabitants per PNCF beneficiary, at another extreme are the territories of Alto Paraguai and Grande Cáceres, respectively with 212 and 269 inhabitants per contracted beneficiary. Support with public policies for access to credit and commercialization, access to ATER and support from the state management of the Program are also points addressed. It is worth highlighting the positive scenario for food production and the employment of labor in generating wealth and income in the countryside for family farming. This article aims to evaluate the public policy of the National Land Credit Program carried out in the state of Mato Grosso through analysis of SGCF documents and Program regulations.
