RESUMO:

The digital transformation of agriculture has driven significant changes in production systems, fostering the development of Agro 5.0 through the integration of technologies such as the Internet of Things, artificial intelligence, remote sensing, cloud computing, and data analytics. However, the adoption of these technologies varies across territories, influenced by factors related to connectivity infrastructure, production structure, innovation capacity, and socioeconomic conditions. In this context, this dissertation aimed to model rural connectivity and production structure indicators to assess the technological readiness of regions within the state of Mato Grosso regarding the challenges of Agro 5.0. The research was conducted using a multi-paper format, comprising three complementary scientific articles. The first article consisted of a systematic literature review, following PRISMA protocol guidelines, to identify key factors related to rural connectivity, digital agriculture, and technological readiness. The second article developed a Technological Readiness Index (TRI), structured by integrating indicators of connectivity infrastructure, agricultural production structure, regional innovation capacity, and socioeconomic conditions; this allowed for a comparative assessment of the preparedness levels of Mato Grosso's regions regarding the adoption of digital technologies. The third article analyzed the implications of the findings for public policy formulation and regional development management, proposing strategic guidelines aimed at strengthening rural connectivity, innovation ecosystems, professional training, collaborative governance, and the continuous monitoring of the digital transformation in agriculture. The results revealed a heterogeneous spatial distribution of technological readiness, with higher levels observed in regions characterized by superior digital infrastructure, dynamic production, the presence of research institutions, and better socioeconomic indicators. It is concluded that the Technological Readiness Index serves as a tool capable of supporting territorial planning, guiding the formulation of evidence-based public policies, and bolstering strategies aimed at strengthening the competitiveness, innovation, and sustainability of agribusiness in the state of Mato Grosso, thereby contributing to the advancement of scientific knowledge regarding Agro 5.0 and to sustainable regional development.
