This work, registered in the line of research Studies of Discursive Processes, of the Postgraduate Program in Linguistics of UNEMAT, aims to analyze – based on the theory of Discourse Analysis of the materialist line, founded by Pêcheux, in France and, later, developed by Eni Orlandi and other linguists, in Brazil – the discourses on the Formative Itineraries set out in the National Common Curricular Base (BNCC) and in the Curricular Reference Document for Mato Grosso (DRC/MT). With this, we aim to understand how the discourses on flexibilization in/of High School are constituted based on the proposal of the Formative Itineraries, what effects of meaning they produce and to what extent the different social actors appropriate them in their practices, thinking about the relationship between an imaginary of quality public education with the social, historical and ideological implications in the Brazilian educational context, especially in the state of Mato Grosso. We thus seek to understand the meanings of flexibilization that appear in the documents, questioning through the gestures of interpretation, the meanings of the reading that are inferred from the symbolic materiality that says about the public education policy and its modes of meaning. During the research, we presented Law No. 13,415/2017, of February 13, 2017, which institutes the new guidelines for High School in the country, its conditions of production, observing in the public education policies how the statements that propose the Formative Itineraries are materialized and we analyzed how the social, political, economic and educational relations are shown and reproduced in/by the discourse that flexibilizes the High School stage. We observed in/by the functioning of the language that there is a repetition of already said, which bursts forth in this Law, producing effects of evidence. Throughout the document, these changes claim to expand the opportunities for professional insertion of young people, but they can also be interpreted as a way of adapting education to the neoliberal economic model. And finally, we analyzed six excerpts that make up the corpus of analysis of this work, extracted from the specific skills of the Training Itineraries, from which we sought to work on the equivocalities and contradictions of a Brazilian educational state policy that establishes places and meanings in the general skills, which make up High School, within a neoliberal ideological formation, in evidence of the need for training signified as qualification for work.
