This thesis, developed in the Postgraduate Linguistics program at the State
University of Mato Grosso - Unemat in the concentration of studies on the linguistic
processes of Discourse Analysis, seeks to understand moral harassment in the
workplace through the subjects and meanings that are constitute the meaning
processes associated with the analytical device that will determine the variables of
discursivity, through the speeches of those morally harassed at work. Bullying
comprises a phenomenon as complex as it is recurrent and has been observed more
and more naturally in the workplace. There are some determining factors for an
action to be classified as moral harassment: the harasser's intention, duration and
frequency. This type of violence can be considered the most cruel, as it directly
affects the psychological aspect of the attacked employee and brings consequences
that are just as serious. In addition to being considered complex because it
encompasses principles from different areas, such as: ethics, culture, society,
politics, etc. This thesis has the general objective of analyzing how the statements of
subjects morally harassed at work materialize discursively in order to identify, through
these legal statements, the relationship between subjects, spaces and meanings and
the constitution of the analytical device in the theory of Analysis. of Speech. In turn,
the specific objectives intend to analyze the speeches of moral harassment directed
at the harassed subjects; analyze how much moral harassment can unconsciously
affect individuals in terms of their identity, which is a discursive and ideological
formation; analyze how moral harassment materializes in the speeches of those
being harassed; and, finally, analyze the influence of moral harassment on the
relationship between subjects in the spaces of their practices. As a methodology, it is
intended, based on the speeches of those morally harassed at work, to map the
psychological consequences that can affect the meanings in the face of discursivities
in the relationships between subjects in the work space. Therefore, it is necessary to
understand how moral harassment at work is constituted in view of the State of the
Art. This representation is conditioned by an analytical device, the central proposal of
this thesis. In this way, the work of constructing this analytical device is delimited,
having as its theoretical basis French Discourse Analysis, whose precursor is Michel
Pechêux. By way of consideration, the analytical device provided an interpretation of
the subjects' manifestation. Through this, the constitution of symbolic processes
through which workers were ideologically interpellated was observed, in which the
entire process of identification in speeches is inscribed in a certain discursive
formation. In the development of this thesis, the importance of corpus and discursive
memory in the constitution of analyzes was verified. In effect, it was possible to
understand the different forms of the subject that constitute the work space, as well
as the meanings produced in the discursive spaces. In this sense, the thesis is a
construction of the discursive representations of subjects morally harassed at work.
