Poetry in the school routine: the formation of critical and sensitive readers through the practice of haiku in Elementary School
Literature teaching. Poetry. Haiku.
This project aims to examine how haiku can be used to stimulate interest in literature and how the study and practice of this poetic modality can contribute to the cultural formation of seventh grade students at Escola Estadual Miguel Baracat. As students have a certain resistance to literary texts, especially the longer ones, haiku, in this sense, given its brevity, would contribute to an easier understanding of the message, and thus serve as a gateway to literature. . We use as a reference, theorists who deal with reading and literature, such as Freire (2001), Martins (2017) and Bordini and Aguiar (1988), as well as references on haiku, such as Goga (1988) and Leminski (1983).
