This dissertation entitled Memoir Narratives of Teachers Trained by Logos II in the Arinos Valley Microregion in Mato Grosso from the 1980s to the 1990s was developed within the scope of the Postgraduate Program in Education (PPGEdu), offered by the State University of Mato Grosso (UNEMAT), research line Teacher Training, Policies and Pedagogical Practices, linked to the Study and Research Group Frontiers: History, Education, Work, Heritage and Memory, aims to analyze the memory narratives of unqualified teachers trained by Logos II in the Arinos Valley about how this training occurred, as well as education in the region in the period from 1980 to 1990 in the implementation of this federal project. In particular, the role of this training in the performance of the teachers who were in the course. To this end, the aim is to historicize education in Mato Grosso in the 1980s and 1990s, as well as the Logos II teacher training center, to understand the disputes of memories that exist in the narratives of the teachers who were in the course about the curriculum and activities proposed in the training, to identify how the training project prepared them for teaching and to analyze what was the role of Logos II in the performance of these teachers in the classroom. The study is being developed in the city of Juara/MT and in the Arinos Valley region. The oral history methodology was used and data collection was conducted through recorded interviews, using a script and later transcribed from teachers who were in the course, and the data analysis technique will be content analysis. This study highlights the importance of the memories of these teachers for understanding their training, which also reflects how education in the region is developing. Knowing the past helps us understand the present and plan a more promising future for local education.
