RESUMO:

This dissertation, developed through the Master's course of the Stricto Sensu Postgraduate Program in Education at the State University of Mato Grosso and enrolled in the Education and Diversity research line, presents a qualitative research proposal based on a historical-dialectical approach, having been divided into five stages organized by: Bibliographic survey, field trip and application of questionnaires during the Field Research, application of interviews/conversation circles and Data Analysis. Thus, the research focuses on the approach of the Traditional Pantanal Community of Porto Limão, located in Cáceres, Mato Grosso. Thus, the central objective of the research was to understand the complex relationships that influence the life and cultural identity of traditional communities, especially the practices and social relationships of the Traditional Pantanal Community of Porto Limão in Cáceres -MT and the dialogicity that exists between the social actors, the community and the Santa Catarina Municipal School. To this end, the work involved techniques such as documentary analysis, participant observation, interviews, discussion groups and the application of semi-structured questionnaires. The immersion in the field of study, focusing on the Porto Limão Community, started from an ethnographic perspective and allowed data collection through direct interaction with participants, aiming to capture the subjective aspects of human behavior and social phenomena, using dialogues as a guiding thread for the analyses. The discussions in this work were guided by authors such as: Paulo Freire, João Colares da Mota Neto, Aníbal Quijano, Miguel Arroyo, Roseli Caldart, Karl Marx, Catherine Walsh, Boaventura de Souza Santos, Y-fu Tuan, Paul E. Little, James Scott, Clifford Geertz, Roberto Cardoso de Oliveira, Mikhail Bakhtin, among others. This study sought to document and value the subjectivities and cultural richness of the traditional Porto Limão Community, highlighting the need to recognize and preserve their identity in the face of the transformations and challenges they face in the face of hegemonic discourses. Furthermore, the aim was to contribute to the understanding of the complex relationships that shape their ways of life, encouraging the formulation of more effective public policies in this context.
