This dissertation is part of the line Education and Diversity of the Postgraduate Program in Education (PPGEdu) – Master's Degree in Education, of the State University of Mato Grosso (UNEMAT), with the theme: Education of Field and Pedagogical Practices in the dimension of Environmental Knowledge of the Territory of the State School Professor João Florentino Silva Neto – Sala Anexa Sadia – District of Nova Cáceres, MT. Rural Education and for the countryside is a guarantee of a right won by the struggle of rural social movements that have always fought for better working and educational conditions in their territory, meeting their specificities through interdisciplinary pedagogical practices that reflect their reality. . And environmental knowledge is knowledge associated with care and not domination, where the construction of scientific knowledge has the power to break the barriers of human ignorance by forming freedom, a more harmonious and less predatory relationship. This research aimed to: Understand whether the pedagogical practices developed in Rural Education enable the development of environmental knowledge in the territory of the Escola Estadual Professor João Florentino Silva Neto – Sala Anexa Sadia. The methodology used was based on the historical-dialectic perspective, based on bibliographic, documentary, exploratory and field research procedures. Teaching teachers and students participated in the research. The data produced was interpreted based on content analysis. From the work, we found that even in a precarious way, pedagogical practices enable the production of Environmental Knowledge in the territory.
