This research focuses on the schooling of adolescents serving custodial socio-educational measures, seeking to understand how these adolescents narrate their school trajectories and attribute meaning to educational experiences lived in different social and school contexts. It is based on the understanding that the school trajectories of these adolescents are shaped by different social, educational, and institutional experiences that influence their relationships with school and their future perspectives. The research adopts a qualitative approach and is characterized as a descriptive case study conducted at the Socio-Educational Care Center (Centro de Atendimento Socioeducativo) in Cáceres, Mato Grosso, Brazil. Data were produced through semi-structured interviews and documentary analysis of the participants' educational records. The study included 14 adolescents serving custodial socio-educational measures, aged between 15 and 18, from six municipalities in the state of Mato Grosso. The participants were identified using pseudonyms. The interviews were recorded and transcribed, and their content was subjected to content analysis, from which analytical categories and meanings emerged, providing the basis for the research findings.
