RESUMO:

This dissertation is part of the Graduate Program in Education (PPGEdu) at the Mato Grosso State University (UNEMAT), in the research line: Teacher Training, Pedagogical Policies and Practices. It is also linked to the Waldorf Pedagogy Research Group, registered with the DGP-CNPq, in the project "The Influence of Media on the Cognitive Development of Children and Youth." The research was conducted at a school in the interior of Mato Grosso. Observing the acceleration of children's cognitive processes in the school and social environment, focusing on achieving goals and forgetting the importance of play, playfulness, and games in the teaching-learning process, motivated me to undertake this research. Because the cognitive process is continuous, it is necessary to stimulate and create these moments so that learning occurs in a playful, light, and enjoyable way. Thus, guided by the principles of hermeneutic phenomenology, our methodological proposal followed the line of empirical research of a qualitative nature. We used the following data collection instruments: discussion groups, semi-structured interviews, and questionnaires. The main objective is to analyze pedagogical practices, including Waldorf Pedagogy and its artistic and playful procedures as well as similar procedures in other educational methodologies, involving play and games in the teaching-learning process. The specific objectives are: to identify playful activities in the teaching-learning process; to observe the creative methodologies of all those involved in the process, both the student and the educator; to reflect on their experiences and the games used in pedagogical practices; and to analyze playful and creative learning activities that use recyclable materials. The goal is to observe the playful activities developed inside and outside the classroom that facilitate teaching and learning and whether they contribute to the cognitive and social development of students, deepening the understanding of the meaning of the phenomenon investigated in the research. The studies focused on first-grade elementary school students, where they are in the literacy process.
