Soil remineralizer and *Trichoderma* spp. strains in phosphorus solubilization for forage crops.
Rock dusting, phosphate fertilization, phosphorus-solubilizing agents
This research aimed to evaluate the potential of different *Trichoderma* spp. strains to solubilize phosphorus from a soil remineralizer and to assess their effects on the growth, shoot and root biomass production, and phosphorus accumulation of Mombaça grass (*Megathyrsus maximus* cv. Mombaça). The study was conducted in Alta Floresta, Mato Grosso, using a randomized block design in a 4x2x2 factorial arrangement, testing three *Trichoderma* isolates (TS, TZ, and *T. atroviride* – TQ) and a control, combined or not with rock dust and mineral fertilization. The results demonstrated that mineral fertilization was the primary factor promoting the initial development of Mombaça grass, increasing plant height, green mass, and root development. Isolate TQ stood out for its higher phosphorus content and accumulation, while isolate TZ showed greater phosphorus accumulation and promoted tillering in the absence of mineral fertilizer and rock dust, demonstrating superior nutrient utilization by the strains. Rock dust had a limited effect on growth but contributed to phosphorus supply and accumulation, indicating potential as a complementary source of this nutrient. It is concluded that the use of *Trichoderma* combined with rock dust application can be a promising alternative for the nutritional management of forage crops.
