RESUMO:

Fertilization with granulated organic phosphate fertilizer is a promising alternative for improving soil properties and sustainability in agriculture, also considering the non-renewable nature of conventional chemical fertilizers. This study aimed to evaluate the agronomic efficiency of a granulated organic fertilizer produced from calcined bone meal and poultry litter, in comparison to a mineral P source, applied at different rates, analyzing their effects on soil chemical attributes, plant growth and nutritional status, crop yield, and nutrient export. A field experiment was conducted in the municipality of Alta Floresta, Mato Grosso, on a Dystrophic Red Latosol, with the experimental area located at the State University of Mato Grosso – Alta Floresta Campus, Unit II. The organic fertilizer was formulated with a mixture of 70% calcined bone meal and 30% poultry litter, with a 01-18-01 formulation. The experimental design was randomized blocks with three replications, in a 2x4 factorial scheme, with two fertilization sources (formulated organic and mineral - monoammonium phosphate). The rates were based on the soil analysis recommendation for the area, corresponding to 0, 50, 100, and 200% of the recommended dose. Evaluations included the green color index, plant nutritional status, vegetative growth, yield components, grain yield, soil chemical attributes, grain nutrient contents, and macro- and micronutrient export. The granulated organic fertilizer based on calcined bone meal combined with poultry litter showed agronomic efficiency similar to MAP in supplying phosphorus to soybean crops, considering plant nutritional status, grain nutrient contents, and macro- and micronutrient export. The mineral source provided greater initial vegetative growth and higher average yield, regardless of the P₂O₅ rate applied. Organic phosphate fertilization resulted in higher available phosphorus in the soil, indicating a potential residual effect, without compromising crop nutritional and productive performance in the evaluated cycle. Grain nutrient contents did not differ between sources, demonstrating similar efficiency in nutrient uptake and translocation. Increasing P₂O₅ rates promoted higher nutrient export by grains for both sources. The granulated organic fertilizer is a technically viable alternative to MAP, particularly from the perspective of production system sustainability and soil fertility management. Long-term evaluations may contribute to understanding the effects of organic fertilization on soil chemical, physical, and biological properties, as well as to quantifying the residual phosphorus effect in continuous cropping systems.
