This dissertation study is about the Intercultural Indigenous Faculty (FAINDI) of the State University of Mato Grosso – UNEMAT, and aims to analyze the historical trajectory of FAINDI, and its importance for indigenous school education in Mato Grosso. The offer of a specific and differentiated education for the training of indigenous teachers, permeates the historical process of creating the Intercultural Indigenous Faculty (FAIND), in the analysis of the Specific Degree course for teacher training, Social Sciences, in the context of Indigenous School Education . Throughout this dissertation work we will address the History of FAINDI and its importance on the national scene, and how Indigenous School Education developed from ILO Convention No. 169, and the 1988 Constitution. In addition to legal frameworks such as LDBEN, RCNEI /98, and the National Plan for Indigenous School Education (PNEEI, 2009). The dissertation is based on bibliographical and documentary research based on the theoretical-methodological references of Indigenous School Education, combined with the analysis of authors such as Barros (2005), Cunha (2012), Grupioni (1995) and Luciano (2006), as well as to relevant legislation and resolutions, Law 9394/96, Law 11,645/08, CNE/CP Resolution No. 1 of 2015 and BNCC, elements that contribute to a writing that aims to present interesting perspectives on the History of FAINDI. Based on these bases, it is possible to reflect on the professional qualifications of these educators, considering their cultural specificities and the need for training that promotes the appreciation of the ethnic-cultural diversity present in indigenous schools. It is essential to establish an analysis between the teaching curriculum of Social and Human Sciences at the Intercultural Indigenous College, with the reality of indigenous school teaching, analyzing the teaching material used by teachers, and the expected result of this work will be the creation of a page within the FAINDI/UNEMAT website with information on how to enter, entrance exams, courses offered, in easy-to-understand language and also in partnership with UNEMAT and SEDUC to create a printed guide, to be sent to all indigenous schools in Mato Grosso.
