THE IMPLEMENTATION OF LAW 10639/2003 AND ITS DEVELOPMENTS IN STATE SCHOOLS IN ARAPUTANGA-MT

The research presented here has as its central theme “The implementation of Law 10639/2003 and its consequences in state schools in Araputanga-MT”. The objective is to analyze the impacts of Federal Law No. 10.639/03 and the challenges encountered in its effective implementation by History, Arts and Portuguese Language teachers in a public school in the city of Araputanga, Mato Grosso. The research approach will be carried out using the qualitative method and the technique used for data collection will be through interviews, seeking to weave a dialogue between the teachers’ narratives and the documentary sources. The theoretical-conceptual approach will be centered on the decolonial conception to address the relationship between teaching History and the history of silenced populations. For sensitive topics, we will use Brazilian authors who work on teaching from a decolonial perspective, such as Elison Paim, Nilton Pereira Mullet, etc. To discuss the teaching of History, we will consider authors such as Circe Bittencourt, Carmem Gil, Selva Guimarães, Flávia Caimi, among others.
