RESUMO:

To approach Candomblé, it is necessary to study this religion, in order to change the preconceived view that society has about this and other beliefs of Afro-Brazilian matrices. The most important thing is also that, when talking about or studying a certain people, it is necessary to understand their religion, because there is no way to do this study separately. In this sense, this dissertation will address Candomblé, considered as one of the legacies of the “religious pantheon organized according to the jeje-nagô cultural model” (MUUNANGA, 2007, p.94). We will use existing bibliographies and other forms of narratives produced by teachers and students at the school where I teach.

With this, thinking about teaching strategies of Afro-Brazilian and African history through candomblé, focusing on the fight against religious intolerance and, consequently, structural racism, aiming at the following objectives:

· Understand how the religions of African origins were approached, or not, in the teaching of history throughout its trajectory;

· Analyze Laws 10,639/03 and 11,645/05 and their contributions to the teaching of History, as well as legal and legal provisions such as PCNs, Curricular Guidelines and Guidelines and the BNCC;

· Combat religious intolerance, problematize the concepts of racism and ethnic identity.

In this sense, in the first chapter of the dissertation, entitled "Teaching History: juridical-legal devices that guide the teaching of African history and Afro-Brazilian culture", it will be discussed about the school in which I worked in your PPP, the teaching of History and the curriculum, seeking to analyze how Afro-Brazilian culture is placed in this curriculum, and also the legislation that supports it.

In the second chapter, "Social representations about Candomblé at Escola Estadual Dr. "Joaquim Augusto da Costa Marques"/Araputanga-MT", has the proposal to work with the social representations about Candomblé produced by teachers and students of elementary school. knowledge about Candomblé based on authors who research on the subject, with the intention that it is a support material for the knowledge of school teachers.
