Diagnostic Protocol for Assessing the Technological Maturity of Small and Medium Beef Cattle Producers in Mato Grosso

This study aims to develop and validate a diagnostic protocol for assessing the technological maturity of beef cattle ranchers in Mato Grosso, focusing on the adoption of sustainable digital technologies. The research adopts an approach combining qualitative and quantitative techniques, aiming to create a replicable instrument that can be used by public institutions, innovation hubs, and other agents of the agricultural ecosystem. The methodology includes a literature review, the development and application of a structured questionnaire to a stratified sample of producers associated with the AgriHub Institute, as well as exploratory factor analysis and semantic and functional validation of the instrument with sector specialists and representatives of the ranchers themselves. The proposed protocol aims to identify the degree of technological maturity of producers across dimensions such as digital infrastructure, use of technological tools, technical training, and perception of innovation. From the collected data, it will be possible to map barriers and facilitators to the digital transformation in the countryside, classifying producers into levels of technological maturity. The expected results will provide support for the development of public policies, the development of innovation projects with solutions aligned with the needs and the real technological stage of ranchers, and technology transfer strategies, strengthening livestock 5.0 in the state and promoting greater efficiency, competitiveness, and sustainability in the rural sector.
